AuraNote is a fragrance and perfume discovery engine that ranks scents by how prominent each note truly is within the olfactory pyramid.

1What AuraNote is

Every fragrance in the catalogue is broken down into its note pyramid — top, heart, and base — and ranked by how prominent each note actually is, not just whether it's listed. That's the idea behind precision note search, the Dupe Finder, and every family and brand page on the site.

2Who runs it

AuraNote is built and maintained by an independent developer and fragrance enthusiast — not a company, and not a large team. It started as a way to find fragrances by genuine note prominence instead of marketing copy, and has grown from there one feature at a time.

3How the rankings work

Every ranking, family classification, and performance rating comes from a real, describable process — never a black box. See Methodology for exactly how note prominence is computed, and Data Sources for where each fragrance's data actually comes from.

4Recommendations & affiliate links

The Dupe Finder, Scent Twins, and "where to buy" links all follow a documented selection process, disclosed in full on the Editorial & Affiliate Policy page.

5Found something wrong?

Fragrance data is imported at scale, so mistakes happen — a misclassified family, an outdated rating, a missing bottle photo. See Corrections for how to report one.
